Take the same oxidised-bronze brown top and pair it with a smoked-nickel edge and a pale base, and the table changes character. It becomes lighter, more modern, and a good match for tan and grey leather rather than the usual oxblood.
The base is two flat panels in cream, crossing at the centre to make an X when seen from above. The panels are set back from the corners, so there is plenty of knee room, and the cream colour reflects light from the floor into the underside of a dark room. Smoked nickel is cooler than bronze and gives the edge a crisp, graphic line.
Construction
- Sintered-stone top, mottled brown oxidised look
- Smoked nickel-finish metal edge
- Cream cross base of two interlocking panels
- Floor glides
Place it in the daytime side of a bar-restaurant, the brunch or lunch tables, then keep the dark black-top tables for evening. The cream base should be specified in a finish that wipes clean.
