The club chair is the anchor of every cigar lounge and whiskey room. Residential versions often fail in commercial service at the arm joints and the front seat rail, where guests lever themselves up after a long sit. Ours are built around those failure points.
What changes in a commercial club chair
- Seat height drops to lounge range, around 15.5-17 in (40-43 cm), so the cocktail table can sit at 15-18 in (38-46 cm)
- Arm fronts are blocked and screwed into the seat rail, not stapled
- Seat cushions use higher-density foam with a soft wrap, so they keep their crown after years of service
- Swivel and ring bases use steel plates through-bolted to the frame
- Leather is specified as protected or semi-aniline for bar service unless you deliberately want an aniline patina
| Feature | Residential club chair | Lounge & Leather commercial build |
|---|---|---|
| Frame | Often softwood, stapled | Kiln-dried hardwood and ply, glued and screwed |
| Seat support | Foam on board | Sinuous springs or webbing under HR foam |

| Fire performance | Domestic rules | Foams and covers specified to your market's contract rules on request |
| Repairs | Rarely possible | Replaceable seat cushions and re-upholsterable frames |
Pair club chairs with our drum side tables so every seat has somewhere to set a glass or an ashtray within arm's reach.
