A tub chair wraps the sitter in a single curve, and that is what this one does. The back rises in a broad arc and comes forward into two separate, slightly taller arm pads, with a clear seam where each pad meets the back. The thick seat cushion sits inside, and the whole chair rests on a dark plinth set well back from the edges.
The plinth can be specified with a swivel and return mechanism. That is useful at a bar-side lounge, where guests want to turn toward the bar or toward their table without dragging the chair.
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frame, back and arms built as one shell
- Shaped HR foam with a fibre wrap; seat cushion in HR foam
- Rust-orange abstract textured velvet shown, with the same fabric as our channel loveseat
- Dark plinth, fixed or swivel, with a steel plate through-bolted to the frame
Specification notes
Swivel bases need a little more clearance. Allow about 33 in (84 cm) between chair centres. For hotel bars with daytime light, the same chair is part of our ivory Gilt-Streak collection.
