A tuxedo chair keeps its arms at the same height as its back, so the outline is one clean, flat-topped box. This version softens the box: the outer corners are rounded, the top edge is piped, and the arms curve slightly as they come forward.
It is upholstered in smooth black leather, with a tight seat and a single cognac leather scatter cushion for contrast. Short black tapered legs lift it just off the floor.
Why a compact club chair
A full club chair can be 40 in (102 cm) wide or more. This one is drawn closer to 33 in (84 cm), so you can fit four around a 30 in (76 cm) table without blocking the aisle. The low, even top line also keeps sightlines open across the room, which helps in a bar where staff need to see every table.
