Everything about this chair is rounded and generous. The back is three vertical channels with domed tops. The arms are thick rolled bolsters that run from the back to the front edge, and the seat is divided into three plump channels that line up with the back. Short black feet are set well under the body, so the chair seems to sit directly on the floor.
The fabric is a rust-orange velvet with an abstract, crackle-like cut-pile pattern in darker brown, which hides marks better than a plain velvet.
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frame
- HR foam channels and bolsters with a fibre wrap, sewn as separate tubes so each keeps its shape
- Contract velvet shown; leather or vinyl also possible
- Black feet with glides
Using it in a room
It is a wide chair, about 37 in (94 cm), so it suits lounges with room to spare rather than tight bar floors. Group two with the rust jacquard loveseat around a low round table. The same shape is offered in other fabrics, including the ivory gold-streak weave in our Gilt-Streak Lounge Chair Collection.
