Large lounges need more seats than a row of traditional club chairs can fit. This chair keeps the comfort of a club chair in a compact, rounded footprint: one continuous upholstered shell that rises at the back and rolls down into low arms, with a thick loose seat cushion inside.
The seat is set at lounge height, roughly 16 in (40 cm), not dining height, so guests sit back rather than up. The base is a recessed brushed-brass ring that lifts the shell clear of the floor and makes cleaning underneath simple.
Shown in an oatmeal bouclé with contrast piping along the shell edge and seat. For a bar where spills are routine, specify the same shell in protected leather or a cleanable contract velvet.
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frame with moulded foam shell
- Loose seat cushion, approx. 6 in (16 cm) thick
- Contrast piping on the shell rim and cushion
- Brushed-brass ring base; swivel or fixed on request
We size the shell to your layout so the right number of chairs fit around each cocktail table.
