This chair keeps the frame thin so the leather does the talking. A black steel flat-bar frame runs in two open rectangles down each side, and the arms are capped with padded leather. The upholstered body sits between them: a deep box-edged seat over a second welted base cushion, a tall back panel, and a loose pillow-style back cushion on top. From behind, the back panel is upholstered smooth in the same tan leather, so the chair looks finished from every angle in the middle of a room.
Because the frame is steel, the sides are only a few centimetres thick. That gives a wide seat in a compact footprint, which helps on tight lounge plans.
Construction
- Welded steel flat-bar frame, black powder coat
- Hardwood and plywood seat body; high-resilience foam with fibre wrap
- Loose back cushion, zipped cover
- Tan leather shown; protected leather, vinyl or COL
Use it in hotel bars, lobby lounges and cocktail bars with an industrial edge. The loose back cushion is easy to plump and to re-cover, a real advantage in rooms that run every night.
