Many bars serve proper food and want the dining chairs to feel as comfortable as the lounge seats. The Snifter does that. It is a full tub chair with a deep, rounded shell and a gathered inner back, but it sits at dining height for a 30 in (76 cm) table.
From behind, a curved black timber rail runs across the back of the shell and ties it to the rear legs. That rail takes the load when guests lean back or staff pull the chair out by the top, so the upholstery is not doing structural work. The four black ash legs taper toward the floor and sit just outside the line of the shell.
Construction
- Solid ash legs and rear rail, black stain
- Plywood shell with moulded foam; high-resilience foam seat
- Cognac leather shown; protected leather or contract vinyl for heavy service
- Floor glides; felt or nylon to suit your floor
It works in bar-restaurants, hotel grill rooms and supper clubs, and pairs well with our leather booths along the wall when you want loose chairs facing the booth in the same leather.
