Nightlife seating sells atmosphere, and in a dark room atmosphere comes from two things: the way velvet pile catches light and the glow that escapes from under a seat. The Velvet Glow is built around both.
Ten vertical channels, each about 5.5 in (14 cm) wide, run up a 51 in (130 cm) back capped with a 2.4 in (6 cm) brass strip. The seat box sits about 3 in (8 cm) off the floor on a recessed plinth, with a warm LED strip hidden underneath so the booth floats on a pool of light.

Lighting is supplied as a low-voltage strip with a remote driver; final electrical connection must be made by a licensed local electrician to your local code.
