The back of this sofa is not one continuous line. It rises in two rounded crests of different lengths with a small gap between them, so from across the room it reads as two soft forms resting on one long curved seat. A low rolled arm closes the short end, and the seat sweeps forward at the other.
The seat is a single deep piece cut to the curve, with a welt seam following the front edge. Two leather lumbar cushions come with it. A black plinth is set well back under the seat, which keeps the base out of sight and makes the sofa look lighter than it is.
Shown in
- Cognac leather
- Rosewood brown leather
- Black leather
Construction
- Laminated hardwood and plywood frame braced across the curve
- One-piece HR foam seat with a fibre wrap, so there is no dip between cushions
- Recessed plinth with floor glides
It suits a window bay or the open side of a lounge, facing a pair of club chairs over a round cocktail table. Length and the position of the crests can be changed on the drawing.
