A loveseat is the right size for two guests who plan to stay. This one shares its profile with our buttoned wingback armchair: a tall back that widens at the top corners and is covered edge to edge in diamond buttoning.
The arms roll outward into scrolls, and a line of antique-brass nailheads follows each scroll down to the floor. Two loose seat cushions sit on a firm deck. The velvet shown is a soft beige with a faint tone-on-tone pattern in the pile, and the turned legs are finished in black.
Construction
- Kiln-dried hardwood frame, arms blocked and screwed to the seat rail
- Hand-folded buttoning on firm foam
- Sinuous springs and two HR foam seat cushions with a fibre wrap
- Turned hardwood legs with glides
Where it fits
Along a wall in a hotel bar, beside a fireplace, or at the end of a lounge group made up of lower club chairs. In a busy room pick a contract velvet with a high rub count and a darker colour; the beige shown suits lobbies and lounges with daytime light. Leather is possible on the same frame.
